Explore the outdoors with your little ones at our free weekly toddles.

Micro Toddles.

Group toddles are on hold but we can still explore in pairs. Find a new friend and go on a micro toddle!

Due to the national Coronavirus restrictions, we can currently not meet in groups. However, we may meet individual adults with their under school age child(ren).

Let’s keep exploring and make new friends as we go. Join our Facebook group to meet a like-minded adult and arrange a micro toddle together.

Make sure to let us know where you’ve been and how muddy you got, we’d love to hear about your adventures!

Woodland Toddles.

We meet every Wednesday and Friday for a free social walk for tots to explore the outdoors and for adults to find like-minded company. We travel at toddler speed with plenty of snack stops and time to explore.

The walks are around 1km in total, a manageable distance for little legs. Baby carriers are highly recommended for tots unable (or unwilling) to walk the whole distance but trails are suitable for off-road buggies.

Come dressed appropriately for the weather, mud and a few puddles. Trail snacks are highly recommended. This is a social walk, so you are responsible for your tot and your own safety.

See FAQs for more information or contact us with any questions you have.

FAQS

Who can join the woodland toddle?

All babies and toddlers, along with their accompanying adults are welcome to join our toddles. The walks are perfect for walking tots but babies in slings or off-road buggies will equally benefit from time outside.

What should you wear?

Come prepared for all weather. In the winter this will mean warm layers, hats, gloves, waterproofs and wellies. For little ones we recommend an insulated puddle suit or a snowsuit, so they can comfortably explore the woods without getting cold and wet.

Are toddles on even if it rains?

Rain makes for bigger puddles, so you’ll still find us in the woods with our wellies and waterproofs at the ready. We will only stay at home if the weather is due to become dangerous i.e. storms or high winds. In such an event we will update our social pages.

Can I bring my dog?

We welcome four-legged friends on our woodland toddles, so long as they are well trained and won’t jump up at tots. They should also be comfortable being around other dogs, in case we have other dogs on the walk.

Can I take photos?

We love sharing our adventures, so encourage you to take pictures on our wanders. Please be mindful of not taking and sharing photos of other tots. We take photos at each session, please let us know if you’d prefer your tot or yourself to not feature on our social pages.

Where do you meet?

We try to explore different outdoor spaces in Hertfordshire, whilst also making room to return to our favourites. Keep up to date with details of the next toddle on this page or our Facebook group.
